As a part of Mitsubishi Corporation, Singapore Branch, we, the Machinery Department have operated in Singapore for more than 30 years , serving mainly the local customers, as well as customers in the region for specific products from Japan by various ways of function. Environmental Management
Mitsubishi Corporation has long been associated with the environmental business as a major player in the construction of environmental infrastructures which have contributed to the Green and Clean garden city image of Singapore. Our salient achievement are evident in the repeated numbers of contracts which Mitsubishi had secured through the most stringent requirement and standard by the Ministry of Environment. To date, we have built three out of the four incineration plants in Singapore. One of which is renowned as one of the world largest plants with the latest state-of-the-art features to boost efficiency. Other track records in the solid waste disposal management include refuse transfer station and offshore landfill. In the field of water and waste water treatment facilities, Mitsubishi is also actively pursuing municipal projects which enhance the quality of portable water and operational reliability of the sewerage system. Numerous projects were awarded to Mitsubishi for works relating to the mechanical and electrical equipment of the existing sewerage treatment works. Contract Secured

Elevator & Escalator
We support the activity of Ryoden (Singapore) Pte Ltd. (RS) which is established here 30 years ago and act as sole distributor (sales, installation and maintenance) of elevators and escalators manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (MELCO). Recently, Ryoden have supplied elevators and escalators to prestigious buildings like Caribbean, One Raffles Quay, etc. Ryoden also supplied about 1,500 units of elevator to Housing Development Board (HDB) for their HDB flats. In addition to taking care of customers in Singapore, we also take care of the customers in the region, directly and indirectly, by supporting MELCO's distributors in countries like Malaysia, Vietnam and Myanmar. Since MELCO is aiming to expand their elevator and escalator business worldwide, we, as the global partner of MELCO, follow their policy by supporting their distributors in sales and management. As part of the services rendered by Mitsubishi Corporation, "Transplant" business became active since the middle of 1980s, navigating the major or minor scale of Japanese manufacturers to the foreign countries by setting up their production facilities in order for their products to be competitive in the world market. Due to our intimate relationship with JTC in Singapore and Johor Corporation in Johor State, Malaysia, we have successfully brought in quite a number of Japanese manufacturers to set up their factories in both Singapore and Johor. This business involves many different factors such as consultation regarding the local conditions, construction of their factory and the necessary support after they have started operation. As Singapore is one of the financial centers in the world, we are also involved in the financing arrangement for Isuzu Engine business, of which their factory in Thailand is utilizing this function in Singapore. Mitsubishi Corporation has played a part in maintaining Singapore Changi Airport's competitiveness and its high standard of service by designing, manufacturing, supplying, delivering, installing, testing and commissioning on a turnkey basis of the S-band Klystron Meteorological Doppler Weather Radar. This state-of-the-art radar system is to alert the air traffic controllers on any changes in the wind current that sometimes impedes the aircraft's safe operation so as to control air traffic. Power Cable
SP PowerAssets, the Transmission Licensee in Singapore, owns the electricity transmission and distribution network of Singapore. It has been expanding the extra power high voltage cable network aimed at delivering reliable and quality power supply. We have been involved in 400kV of cable projects on full turnkey basis with Japanese Cable Manufacturer such as EXSYM Corp. SP Power Assets Ltd (formerly known as " Power Grid Singapore") is expanding their extra power high voltage cable network and our Singapore Branch was involved in all 400kv of cable projects with Japanese Cable manufacturer such as EXSTM Corp since the beginning stage of the development. Smart Card Business
Mitsubishi has been selected by the Land Transport Authority in year 1999 to supply Smart Card and Smart Card Reader for the ' EZ-Link ' system, bringing the convenience of "Touch and Go" contactless smart card system to all passengers since its operation on April 13, 2002. It is by far the most used and reliable contactless smart card in the market, having been certified by ISO 15408, namely Common Criteria Assurance level EAL 4. It is also the first smart card in the world to be accepted by several banks for the conducting of actual financial transactions in addition to its function in transportation transactions. The technology behind is more than just cards or tokens. The card is designed to facilitate the convenience of running multiple operators under one card. It is the basis of "ubiquitous network" where flawless connection of data, devices and people is realized for the near future society. Since its operation, , Mitsubishi has supplied over 10 million cards and over 30,000 card readers for use in transportation. And now, expanding to non-transit applications, to name a few, like vending machine, public telephones, car parking, food court, hotel access key, school canteen, student ID, fast food chain and many others. e-Commerce and Wireless Activity
In this New Economy, the department is striving to build and promote customer-centric business models to deliver total solutions and services. This entails providing the necessary platform for e-business such an Internet data center, call center, web hosting, system integration and other services. In the wireless segment, we are looking for partners for mobile content and mobile related solutions for the i-mode, GSM and 3G worlds. To add business value, we are also looking for promising e-business and advance technology-related companies for strategic investment purpose.
Energy Service Business
Through investment in private fund with FE Clean Energy Group from United States of America, we have established Global-Asia Clean Energy Services Fund to engage in small and medium Energy Service Company (ESCO) project in Asia and Europe. In collaboration with Takenaka Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, we are commissioned to build the facility on a turn-key basis, and as well as the role of finance-facility provider for 30 months when the Singapore Flyer is expected to be completed in early 2008.Projected to be the world's biggest giant observation wheel with a diameter of 150m and height of 42 stories, Singapore Flyer is set to become a iconic attraction which offers visitors panoramic view of the city, and into parts of Malaysia & Indonesia. The Flyer is termed as the "necklace of attractions" in Marina Bay, together with the other exciting projects such as the Integrated Resort, 3 world-class waterfront developments called "Gardens by the Bay" and the new business & financial centre. We have also forged partnership with Singaporean companies to foray into the overseas market by promoting infrastructure projects in the third country with notable local. Based on trust built over the years between Mitsubishi & Land Transport Authority through the involvement of ERP and LRT projects, an MOU was concluded in August 2004 with MSI Global, a wholly-owned subsidiary of LTA to spearhead cooperation for railway and road projects in the third country. In consortium with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, we are now working closely with MSI Global, towards the construction of the Dubai Metro, Mass Transit project of a 70 km railway in Dubai, UAE.
