Singapore and Vietnam launched their first joint flagship industrial park project -- Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) located at Binh Duong Province, 20km north of Ho Chi Minh City in 1996. A self-contained industrial park with modern facilities such as ready-built factories, full infrastructure facilities including electricity, treated water, sewerage treatment and telecommunications for investors to set up their manufacturing plants.
Today, VSIP has attracted many more than 200 tenants to set up their manufacturing and technical service operations for both the domestic market as well as export markets in the park. Investors in this park can enjoy special investment terms such as tax exemption period and abolition of profits remittance tax.
To meet the strong demand, a second park named VSIP II is being developed in the centre of the Binh Duong New Township, approximately 32 km north of Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to the infrastructures offered in VSIP I, the 345ha park will also house a logistics park, offering ready-build & built-to-suit warehouses and distribution centres.

VSIP is developed by a consortium of five companies, in a joint venture with Becamex, a Vietnamese state-owned enterprise.
Mitsubishi Corporation is a partner in the development of the park and as well as assist in promoting the park to Japanese investors.
